Maples Leaves Forever is proud to be lead sponsor of Ontario Envirothon – a unique, environmentally-themed academic competition that immerses students in hands-on learning and discovery. Through this program, Forests Canada offers budding environmental leaders a chance to explore education and career paths in the natural sciences and network with potential mentors.

The theme for this year’s Envirothon is “Roots and Resiliency: Fostering Forest Stewardship.” 96 teams made up of approximately 480 high school students from 12 different regions will be participating! Regional events in Algoma, Grand River, Grey / Bruce, Huron / Perth, Kawartha Lakes, Kenora, Niagara, Southwestern Ontario, Simcoe/Dufferin, Thunder Bay, Toronto, and York have already begun, leading up to the Ontario competition at the University of Waterloo from May 25 to 28.
